We may use a feature of your browser called a cookie to assign your computer a 'User ID'. A cookie is a text file that is created on your computer to track all pages that you view on our website. We may use information contained in cookies to determine whether or not to display non-standard content to you and provide you with better web service. This data cannot be used to identify individuals or any personal information. The data is collected and stored on our internal servers, and accessed only by authorised staff. You can disable your cookies at any time. Most browsers have a feature that allows the user to refuse cookies or issues a warning when cookies are being sent. Turning off cookies will not affect your ability to use this website.
An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Internet. We collect IP addresses for purposes of system administration, to report aggregate information to others, and to track the use of our Website. If there is a security breach the relevant IP Address will be identified by the Internet Service Provider and the user may be contacted.
DLA Phillips Fox intends to use any personal information collected from you for purposes associated with marketing our legal services to you and providing you with legal and related information and services.
We do not pass any personal information collected from you to other persons without your express permission, except to the extent this is an ordinary incidence of our business (e.g. it may be visible to our IT service providers, made available for debt collection purposes) or required by law.
We hold any 'personal information' as that term is defined in the Privacy Act 1993, in accordance with that Act (which includes the ability for individuals to request details of the personal information that we hold about them and to correct that information).
Any queries about the firm’s privacy policy should be directed to privacy@dlapf.com. The Privacy Act is supervised by the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner.
