Community Clients
DLA Phillips Fox recognises that people want to be proud of the organisation they work for. This means supporting their desire to contribute to help make a meaningful difference in the lives of people who are disadvantaged. We do this through our Community Care program. Our focus is on supporting initiatives that help people to help themselves, so the change is enduring.
DLA Phillips Fox supports community organisations through a range of initiatives including volunteering, fundraising, administrative support, gifts in kind and Workplace Giving.
Here are some of our community clients:
Oxfam New Zealand
Oxfam supports communities around the world to overcome poverty and injustice, linking local action with international campaigns to make trade fair, control arms and make poverty history. DLA Phillips Fox supports Oxfam through participation its annual Oxfam trail walk, fundraising, volunteering and the provision of legal services.

Auckland City Mission
Every Christmas, Auckland City Mission makes Christmas happen for families in need. The Mission receives 250 requests for emergency food each month, so is always in need of donations of non perishable food. Staff at DLA Phillips Fox’s Auckland office raise funds annually, collect new Christmas gifts for children in need and donate non perishable items of food. In December a team of DLA Phillips Fox volunteers heads out onto the local streets to collect funds for the Mission.

Radio Lollipop
Radio Lollipop is a radio station broadcasting to hospitals around the world. Volunteers spend their evenings playing games, making crafts and entertaining sick children. The children can interact with radio DJs, enter quizzes, request songs and generally just have fun. Radio Lollipop ensures that children in hospitals throughout New Zealand have some company, games and crafts to help make their stay in hospital as enjoyable as possible. DLA Phillips Fox supports Radio Lollipop at Auckland's Starship Children's Hospital.

Wellington Hospitals and Health Foundation
The Foundation raises funds for projects to improve the comfort and welfare of patients and their families at Wellington and Kenepuru Hospitals, Wellington Children's Hospital and Kapiti Health Centre. DLA Phillips Fox supports the Foundation in various ways. The firm recently held its annual Golf Day in Wellington which was in support of Wellington Children's Hospital, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. Each year DLA Phillips Fox staff participate in a gingerbread house making competition and donate funds raised to the Foundation. A group of staff also knit for new-born babies at the Wellington Hospital.
